Why I Chose These Poems
I chose these poems because I feel they really stood out to me as a person. They reminded me that I'm not perfect, I have my flaws and should be grateful for them. However if my flaws get in the way, I should always be ready to ask for forgiveness and know that if other people's flaws get in their way, I should be ready to forgive them.
I found these poems on all different Poet Share websites full of creative poetry by the 'unknown' or 'know under a screen-name', in my case the author's screen names were, Mestup, (To Forgive), Gwendolyn P. Kirkham (Forgiveness) and Barry S. Maltese (Forgiveness). The authors have used many techniques in their poems. To Forgive was a free verse poem that flowed very well and both the poems titled Forgiveness were limericks and also flowed well. They rhymed words that are not in the common day vocabulary. Rhymes like; No consent for enabling, time to move on with living are great examples of being able to rhyme with words not always used.
The poems didn't have any indication of what the author's thoughts were of their creations.
But my interpretation of these poems was that they remind us of what is important in life and what forgiveness actually is and how we should go about it. That we should treat people with care and if we stuff things up, we should always ask for forgiveness.
